Floodgates open upon my heart. So hard it is to keep my calm exterior. They know so much, but can not comprehend, My dormant destiny trying to burst through. The desert is my favorite place, Like floating in space, With no visible boundary, no limits. There is light and darkness, And I am known to both. My heart is consumed by boundless love, For a queen my duty is to protect. With me she is not untouchable, Instead my other soul, No less a part of me than my matter. With this angel my destiny lies. I can not speak even to he who knows me best, For what can he know of what I crave, His heart held captive. Mine is free to love and live, A slave no more. |
