Whispering voices, hiss through the darkness,
fears leap from the shadows here cast
A Jedi's mind must not be clouded,
but how does one hide from the past?
So much, he left behind in the sands,
so much that he loved and will miss,
yet he knows what she would have wanted,
he is sure, he is certain, it's this.
So he tries to ignore the crying
that he hears when he closes his eyes,
but it seems that he cannot stop this,
faceless whispers predict his demise.
Something inside him is saying
From the Jedi path, step aside!
If you care for the souls you will threaten,
If you care for all humankind.
But this, he has always dreamed of!
This, his ambition has been.
Who would ask him to throw it away,
after all he's done to make it his?
As the sun rises, he puts these whispers aside,
to be again a faithful apprentice,
and stand at Obi-Wan's side.
